AI visibility (GEO)
Understand how AI clusters, prompts, searches, and GEO articles work together.
AI visibility (GEO) is where Adaptify manages the topics your brand should win inside AI assistant answers. Instead of starting with traditional search keywords, it starts with AI clusters, prompts, and the searches assistants run while answering those prompts.
Where to manage GEO clusters
You manage GEO topics in Manage GEO Clusters. This page groups the AI visibility strategy into clusters, then shows the prompts under each cluster and the searches connected to each prompt.
A cluster is the broad conversational topic. A prompt is the AI-style question or task Adaptify wants the brand to appear for. A search is the concrete query or intent that supports that prompt.
- Use the cluster list to choose the broader AI topic you want to inspect.
- Open a cluster to review its prompts, coverage, scores, and article status.
- Open a prompt to see the searches AI assistants run to answer it.
How Adaptify builds the GEO strategy
Adaptify builds the GEO strategy from the latest AI visibility analysis, then keeps your manual changes as the strategy updates over time. When you add a custom AI cluster, it appears right away while Adaptify generates related prompts and searches in the background. If you remove clusters, prompts, or searches, those choices are remembered so your team can keep shaping the live strategy.
Coverage, potential, and status
Coverage shows how many prompts in the selected cluster are currently cited by AI assistants. If a cluster has ten prompts and four are cited, the coverage is 40%.
Potential is shown per prompt. It helps identify which prompts are likely to be useful content opportunities for AI visibility.
The potential score looks at signals like cited evidence, search interest, content gaps, and topic breadth. These signals help Adaptify decide where content is most likely to support AI visibility.
Status shows what is already happening for the prompt. Cited means there is AI citation evidence. Written, Writing, and In content plan show where the related content is in the workflow.
How searches become GEO articles
Inside a prompt, the searches list shows the specific searches AI assistants use to answer that prompt. These searches can become GEO articles when Adaptify needs content that directly supports the answer.
Why Adaptify focuses on prompt searches
When a customer asks about business-specific information, an AI assistant like ChatGPT often runs a real-time search and uses fresh web evidence to answer. This is why Adaptify focuses on searches: they are close to live, influence what AI assistants can say today, and help train the model to understand the brand over time.
When you create an article from a GEO search, Adaptify saves it as an LLM prompt keyword and keeps the GEO context attached: the cluster, prompt, and search. That context follows the article into planning and writing.
This is why GEO articles are different from normal SEO articles. They are not only targeting a search keyword; they are designed to help AI assistants understand, cite, and recommend the brand for a specific answer.
